Motif Monday: The Love Squares Project

2012 is ending, and so starts a new year. Wow! I hope everyone accomplished what they wanted to this year, and perhaps found some nice surprises along the way (I only did the latter).

Something a little different for this Motif Monday, I want to highlight The Love Squares Project. In March of this year, tornadoes hit mid-America. This charity wants to give afghans to those in need. Let’s try to make 2013 a little better for some people. šŸ™‚

They are looking for 7″x9″ crocheted or knitted squares made from acrylic yarn. Some basic square patterns here. I’ve linked their Facebook page above, so go there for more info. Send your squares to:
A Tangled Yarn
605 N Main St
Nicholasville, KY 40356

or

Sarabee’s Little Yarn Shop
74 S. Main Street
Winchester, KY 40391

Of course, there are other charities out there, so if you know a local one, I hope you’ll help out. A positive start to a new year!

No words were ever truer. šŸ™‚

Happy new year, everyone!
