Motif Monday: Bookworm

Today I defend my thesis. NERVOUS.

In honor of that, here is a free pattern from Lion Brand that I feel is a good representation of me, as a worm.

Motif Monday: Hit the Books

I type in “crochet book” into Google, and find on CraftisCool an actual crocheted book:

Ha ha, it’s really cute. It’d be really good for a birthday card or something. Now, if only I can get better at sewing. You can find the pattern here.

Motif Monday: Rainbow Scarf!

It’s my 100th post, just in time to welcome April!

I saw the neatest scarf pattern from Make It (Messy):

The pattern is available here. It involves some weaving, which can be a bit tedious, but the outcome looks so pretty!

Motif Monday: Spring Chicks

Spring is sort of here. I mean, it snowed last week, but calender-wise, it’s spring.

You know what’s associated with spring? Flowers! But I couldn’t find a good flower pattern… maybe next week. However, I did find a really nice chick pattern. It fits with the whole newborn theme of spring…

…even though it’s a pirate.

Pirates are cool, right? I like pirates. The free pattern is available on the JennyandTeddy Craft Blog.

Check it out!

Motif Monday: Easter Hunt Loot?

Easter will be arriving at the end of the month. I’ve been to church as a kid and had those Easter egg hunts. The neighborhood I grew up in also had Easter egg hunts.

But really, I just like the jelly beans.

For everyone who prepares all those Easter baskets, perhaps these?

The pattern can be found here. Very cute, right?

Motif Monday: Shamrock Blanket

Hi March!

While I’m not Irish at all, I will most probably be making these delicious things very soon. You should try to make them too. Very yummy. ❤ I made them last year too, and the chocolate cake with the melty chocolate in the center is really good!

If you’re in the mood for some St. Patrick’s Day afghaning, Red Heart has a nice pattern here.

Motif Monday: New Years Snake

As I mentioned on Friday, it is the year of the snake in the Chinese zodiac. Although, the initial 15 day celebration is now over, the year of the snake will be here for the remainder of the year, so make a little snake for yourself. Little Muggles has the cutest snake pattern.

It’s super cute, isn’t it? It’s definitely the smile. 🙂

The thing about crocheted sperm: they look really cute with those little eyes.

Motif Monday: Valentine’s Monster

Valentine’s Day- that over commercialized holiday about love- will be arriving in 10 days. Low on ideas? Or maybe you just don’t care. Either way, it’s hard to resist this little charmer:

The pattern is available from Emma Varnam, here.

Motif Monday: Elephant Pillow!

My favorite animal is an elephant. I love elephants. They’re so cool with their trunks and huge ears. (FYI, African elephants have cooler ears). Now, check out this pillow:

This is a free pattern from Lion Brand’s yarn: here.

I’m probably going to push this to the top of my to-do list, and decorate my entire house with these.
